About Roy

Roy began working in the construction industry at just 16 years old. He quickly realized he was gifted in trade and went on to pursue a career as a Journeyman carpenter. Although he enjoyed working several years in the Carpenters Union, he decided to branch out into the retail space where he was very successful in designing and building interior fixtures for retailers such as Trader Joe’s. To gain more opportunity in this industry, he obtained his General Contractor license in California where they have some of the most stringent construction laws in the country. Carrying this license requires passing proficiency in all trades. This brought more business and experience that he would later bring to his new career when the family relocated.

Roy started doing little handyman work after moving to Texas while his family got settled and realized he enjoyed it more than the hustle of cooperate construction. Gammell Construction Services quickly took off and Roy continues to be a favored Handyman in Collin and Grayson Counties. From a custom closet, hanging a fan, or installing appliances, he will not cut any corners. Roy works independently and takes pride in his work.
